Big Timber is located in the heart of McHenry, MD, Deep Creek Lake's northern most town.  All the best attractions, restaurants and activities are next to WISP ski resort in McHenry where Big Timber has a unique private location which is very rare to find so close to all the best attractions at the lake.  Big Timber has views of the Ski Slopes in the winter and sits on it's own private piece of the lake.  No other house shares this water with Big Timber.

  

Big Timber also has it's own dock across the street on the navigable portion of the lake where you can dock a boat you bring or rent as well as swim in the no wake zone protected cove.

 

Big Timber was the former model home office of Yellowstone log home builders and was meant to be a showcase of the work they were capable of.  It boasts the largest logs they had ever built with measuring in at 16" diameter with a 3' diameter log rising vertically from the main level through the loft and into the vaulted ceiling.  Wrap around decking follows 3 sides of the home with the largest section of the deck covered by an incredible vaulted extension of the roof line.

 

An outdoor hottub sits under the vaulted extension of the roof which allows you to soak while overlooking the lake in peaceful tranquility.  Ample seating around the lakeside fire pit provides a great outdoor gathering space to relax and take in the reflective surface of the water where the clouds and town lights combine to make a mesmerizing mirror like effect.

 

The property has 1 king bedroom, 3 queen bedrooms and 2 queen sleeper sofas with 3 baths.  The kitchen is cozy but fully stocked and offers bar stool seating for 4 and 8 more at the dining room table.  The outdoor gas grill adds to your cooking options.

Linens are provided and unlike most rentals, these are not the cheap see-through white linens from the linen companies that the rental agencies use. These are sateen finish sheets and luxury towels.

Key less locks mean you never have to find or return keys as well as peace of mind in knowing that no previous renter can obtain access during your stay.

 

Most notable is the endless entertainment provided by the amenities of the house such as a 70" LED HDTV in the Living room with an HD DVR, 8'movie screen with HD movie projector in the Game room, 2 Xbox 360's, 7 real arcade video games, 9' shuffleboard and hundreds of movies at your disposal.  The bedrooms also have great tvs, the master has a 42" LCD tv and the other 3 bedrooms have 32" LED smart tvs.  The entertainment doesn't stop there, once outside, you have a private 18 hole mini-golf course I created myself as well as tournament horseshoe pits with ladies/children extensions, lakeside fire pit with bench seating, corn hole boards and lastly, a lake to fish in!
